7 Seconds is only marginally less time than this four-track EP by Aim Higher takes to play. It clocks in at a little over four minutes, so it's very blink and you miss it.
So is the Homemade EP any good? And is it actually homemade?
It's not bad, but it sounds more like a 7 Seconds release than a side project of any kind. There's no info available about who else is in the band either. Maybe it's only him? As for the homemade aspect, it's gritty enough to have been recorded in a garage, butI reckon that's just an act. It's probably no more homemade than a tin of Heinz tomato soup with some fresh basil sprinkled over it is homemade.
If you like anything else Kevin Seconds has done - hey, I only just noticed his surname is the same as the band's - then you'll probably like this too.
It's not groundbreaking or genre-defining, but it's pleasant enough if you crave new 7 Seconds soundalike material.
