Someone and
the Somethings bands have been around forever.
The difference here is that Ted Dibiase is a retired, 60 year-old wrestler who has absolutely no affiliation with this band whatsoever. The Million Dollar bit clearly comes from his nickname as these three guys from Kent clearly don’t have such a high collective wealth.

Musically
they sound like a British Cerebral Ballzy with fast, hardcore songs full of
fairly bizarre and offensive lyrics. Digging beneath the surface shows that
some songs contain a serious message, but it’s all done with a smile.
The eponymous album kicks
off at speed with A Theme from an Audience with Ted Dibiase Featuring the
Million Dollar Punk Band, which is surely a candidate for the crown of Longest
Ever Song Title. The party quickly develops into an explicit lyrics fest and
certainly isn’t for the easily-offended. Sweatshops, paedophiles, Osama Bin
Laden and the government all get a good going over. Shoplifting-themed Mobster
of Market Street cleverly ends with a stolen Black Sabbath riff and 16th
track, Track 16, is a part punk, part thrash metal instrumental.
I doubt they’ll
make a million dollars from it, but it’s a solid debut.
